Chrysler announced on the Chrysler Retiree website the following: Effective January 1, 2012, Michigan's Income Tax for pension and retirement benefits will change. Michigan law now requires the administrators of pension and retirement benefits to withhold income tax on payments that will be subject to tax. Click Here For Details. Please be advised that you will not see a change to your MI taxes until system updates are in place. Expected updates are expected to occur around the March or April check cycle. More information will be available in January as to the exact timing. Please check back in early January as to the exact timing and steps you can take to prepare for this change.
